MY HEART LONGS ....
I stand at the balcony
Set high in my castle towers
That looks out over the ocean
And drink in the awesome view
Of the waves crashing dramatically
Against the rocks below
But soon the light fades
And one by one the stars come out to shine
Like diamonds in a velvet blanket
And the moon slowly enters
Taking its place with pride
It is truly a place that would inspire
Poets, writers and painters
And yet I do not see the beauty
For my heart longs only to see
My Knight In Shining Armor!

MY FIRST LOVE
At this time of year
The light is almost luminescent
And with no mist covering the land
The smoke - gray hills
And the pastel color meadow
Are brought into sharp relief
Just like thoughts of My Knight
Bring the warmth of his touch
And the loving look in his eyes
And the gentle reassurance of his voice
And I know once again
That no one will ever replace
My first and only love!
